Dolf passed away in Plettenberg Bay in November 2019 at the age of 91.
He was the first of three generations of Fouries who have had the privilege of attending Boy’s High
He was an outstanding tennis player and captained the 1st team for a number of years .
After obtaining his MBChB at Tukkies he specialised in anaesthetics and was recognised as an expert in paediatric anaesthesia
which he had studied further at children’s hospitals in Cape Town , London and Liverpool.
His son Philip ,who followed in his father’s footsteps ,but as a radiologist, has many “Old Boy “ colleagues who were very special friends of Dolf
and shared many happy and memorable times with him
