OLD BOYS WEEKEND 2014
Dear Old Boy
We would like to remind you of the Annual Old Boys Weekend coming up on Friday 6 June 2014 & Saturday 7 June 2014.
As before, the weekend will begin with the Founders Assembly at 09:30 on Friday 6 June 2014 at Pretoria Boys High School. All Old Boys are invited to attend wearing a jacket and tie.
The Founders Assembly will be followed by the Annual Golf Day on Friday 6 June 2014 and end with the 95th Annual Pretoria Boys High School Old Boys’ Association Dinner on Saturday 7 June 2014. The Dinner will be held in the Abernethy Hall – which promises to be a most spectacular and memorable event.
We are delighted to announce that Mr Pravin Gordhan has agreed to be our honoured Guest Speaker at the Old Boys Dinner this year.
Amongst his many other positions and responsibilities Mr Gordhan is not only the former Commissioner of the South African Revenue Service, he was also elected as Chairperson of the Constitutional Committee in Parliament, which had oversight over the implementation of the new Constitution, adopted in 1996.
He is passionate about democracy, racial and gender equality and working to build a prosperous future for South Africa.
We are extremely honoured and privileged to have Mr Gordhan address the Old Boys at this very special occasion, and as this is the last year we will be privileged to use the Abernethy Hall in its current form, we look forward to spending this special evening together and we encourage you to attend.
