My dad, John Bell, matriculated from Pretoria Boys High in 1959. He attended the 30 year, 40 year and 50 year reunions. He was born in Pretoria in April 1941, attended Pretoria Boys, matriculated in 1959. He went to Pretoria University where he qualified as an Architectural Draughtsman. He married Ina in August 1965 and they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year. He underwent major heart surgery on the 2nd of August 2010 (a bypass and heart valve replacement), unfortunately the damage to his heart muscle was too great and he passed away still in the ICU section of The Willows hospital on 15th August. He is survived and sadly missed by his wife Ina, daughter Charmaine, son Sean, their spouses and his three grandchildren.
John enjoyed motor racing and rallying, scuba diving and bow hunting.
