Jossy FAKTOR completed his matric in 1956.

Afrikaans,English,Hebrew and Latin were his chosen languages together with Mathematics and General Science.

He was a natural academic with a quick wit and sense of humour. He nicknamed a girl (unbeknown to her) “ tennis racket “ since Jossy contended that she was highly strung.

On completing our Latin exam Jossy came out asking us which Latin question was the unseen one. Just an example of his aptitude.
Jossy studied Medicine at the University of Pretoria.

He then began his housemanship  at the Tel Hashomer Hospital in Israel.
Obstetrics and Gynaecology attracted him to persue this career. This field of Medicine soon provided Dr FAKTOR to further his experience in London.
He returned to Israel and worked at Tel Hashomer and also joined the IAF.  ( Israeli Air Force)

Although not made a public fact Jossy was also involved in the “ Entebbe Operation” in Uganda.

Jossy remained with the IAF and also was appointed to head the Beilinson Hospital in Petch Tikvah.

Joseph FAKTOR passed away just before the Jewish New Year succumbing to a brave battle against chronic lymphoma.
