In this 125th year of the School on the Hill, I regretfully inform you of the passing of my brother, Neville Blum (Class of 1968), on 2 March 2026 in Nelspruit, Mbombela. Neville bravely faced a battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Erna, with whom he shared over 51 years of marriage, his children Norma and Duncan, and four beloved grandchildren.
During his school years, Neville was a boarder in Solomon House. He played 1st team tennis and squash, participated in cricket and rugby, and was a proud member of the bugle band and cadets.
Beyond school, Neville became a prominent figure in the Lowveld community. He founded Nevills Clothing, a successful men’s outfitting business now carried forward by his son. A passionate golfer, he was a founding member and captain of Nomads Lowveld Golf.
Neville was widely regarded as an absolute gentleman, remembered for his integrity, kindness, and community spirit.
