NEW APPOINTMENT
Firstly, we are delighted to announce the arrival of Donné Roebert to the Advancement Office. She brings with her a wealth of experience in database management and stakeholder engagement, which will significantly strengthen our ability to connect with our broader community. Her expertise will ensure that our records are maintained with accuracy and care, while also enhancing how we engage with you – our parents, donors, friends, and Old Boys. We look forward to the positive impact she will make as we continue to build lasting relationships and advance the mission of our school together.
VISION 2040
The School’s Executive Management Team, together with key members of the current School Governing Body, has embarked on a process of developing a long-term vision for the school. In today’s public education landscape, our school requires a vision to ensure stability, growth, and relevance in a rapidly changing world. A clear vision to guide decision-making, align resources, and inspire both current and future generations. It will allow the school to plan strategically for infrastructure, academic innovation, and extracurricular excellence, while preserving our traditions and core values. Vision 2040 will also ensure financial sustainability, enabling the school to provide quality education beyond what annual school fees and state funding alone can offer. Most importantly, it gives students, parents, staff, and alumni confidence in a shared future built on purpose and direction.
Looking Ahead Together
At Pretoria Boys High School, we are proud of our traditions, but we are equally excited about what lies ahead. As we look to the future, we have identified several projects that will help us nurture our boys, strengthen our community, and ensure that the school remains a place of excellence for generations to come.
Among these initiatives are plans to install a solar and battery storage system to our boarding houses to further reduce our reliance on the city’s power grid, a water filtration plant enabling the school to produce drinking water from existing groundwater sources, upgrades to our sporting infrastructure to provide state of the art facilities for our sports programme to reach even greater heights, the development of innovative teaching venues such as a robotics and coding classrooms and provide scholarships to talented individuals enabling them to benefit from a holistic education for which Pretoria Boys has become renowned. Each of these projects reflects our shared commitment to providing the best possible environment for growth, learning, and opportunity.
At this stage, we simply want to share our vision with you. In the months ahead, we’ll tell you more about these projects and the difference they can make. For now, we invite you to journey with us—to celebrate where we are, and to dream about where we are going.
