Progress has been made in the planning work for the formation of Branches of the Association Country and World Wide. Letters are going out to selected Old Boys in various centres asking for their help in the formation of branches. It is with deepest regret that I record the passing of two School legends – Walter Battiss (1906-1982) and William Brooks (1902-1982).

BLOEMFONTEIN DINNER
Headmaster, Malcolm Armstrong reports on the Bloemfontein dinner:
Gerald Brener and I flew to Bloemfontein on Friday 22nd April to attend a reunion dinner at the Bloemfontein Club.
Gerald was the guest of Andre Hugo, whilst I was entertained by Rolf Trichard and his wife.
Rolf and Andre had arranged the evening, which proved to be very well organised and thoroughly pleasant. As is always the case at such gatherings, differences in age, outlook, profession and background proved to be no barrier to relaxed and and friendly fellowship.
The most senior citizen was Charles Hobbs (1923/27) and the youngest was Graham Collins (1970/75). Charles has retired and Graham is in Fifth-year medicine at the University of the Orange Free State.
