TIM TUCKER 1941 – 2025

Tim passed away surrounded by his family on 7th May 2025.
Born in what was then the Northern Transvaal on a farm near Nylstroom (now Modimolle) Tim spent his entire school career as a boarder in Pretoria, first at WHPS then from 1955 to 1959 at Pretoria Boys in Rissik House. He was a fine all-rounder, playing rugby and cricket for the school as well as diving, gymnastics and tennis.

After matriculating he spent a year on his father’s farm gaining practical experience before attending Cedara Agricultural College (where he met his future wife, June) prior to embarking on his career as a farm manager. He had a wide and varied career which took him all over the country as well as Zimbabwe and Eswatini, finally ending his career in the Natal Highlands.

He was a kind, generous and witty man, much loved and a proud father of 6 children. In addition he had 15 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren

His final year was dogged by ill health which he bore with his customary fortitude and stoicism. RIP Tim
